Fun Memory Computer Game For Children

It's true that computer games have been blamed for short attention spans and memory issues in children and adults, however there’s one game that's really helping youngsters improve their memory skills.

Many people with good memory recall skills are actually unaware as to how they remember and have no idea how to pass their skills on to their children. Do you know how you remember important dates, names, telephone numbers, shopping lists without writing them down?

There are many ways in which you can remember and your senses can help you; a smell of perfume or freshly baked bread can evoke a whole steam of memories right back from your childhood. But that isn't an easy way to remember the things we want to recall when we want them. We can however use our ears and our eyes and a good sense of fun to help us remember.

Using your ears you can repeat a telephone number a few times and if you break the number down into groups of 3 or 4 numbers it's even easier to remember. It's better if you create a rhythm with the numbers. But this method isn't for everyone, only those who are auditory learners. Auditory learners find it easiest to learn by listening and they may even have to look away or shut their eyes to learn, to fully hear without interruption from other senses.

If you are a visual learner then you can use your eyes to remember. This means you'll need to see a telephone number written down rather than have it read out to you. You can commit the number to memory by looking up and actually seeing the numbers, like writing them in the sky. You can colour the numbers, make them move like they're in a movie or make them dance. Have fun with visualising the things you want to remember, the more fun you have the easier they will be to recall.

Now if you're a kinaesthetic learner you'll need to touch to learn. How can you touch a telephone number? Well you can't, obviously, but you'll probably want to touch and feel the paper to help commit it to memory.

Children are more often than not visual and kinaesthetic learners, that is why they have to touch everything!

If you're interested in helping your child improve his/her memory you can discover how, with this fun packed memory computer game that really works.
